NGM Bio
Nancy along with her husband Ray, is the director and leader of ngm (new generation music and mission). In 1980 God very clearly called Ray and Nancy to leave their home in Scotland and come to England to work as missionaries in youth culture. During their first nine months of Christian work they founded and birthed in prayer the band / team ministry they called Heartbeat. Nancy was one of the singers and Ray was the drummer. Through the work of Heartbeat, they literally saw thousands come to know God for themselves and many hundreds physically healed by the power of God.
In 1985, God gave them a deep desire in their hearts for revival and a strong conviction that a new outpouring of His Spirit was going to take place in the nations of the world. During this time they also brought this prophetic message to millions of people as they released singles that broke into the mainstream charts. Heartbeat appeared on many radio and television shows including the BBC’s chart programme Top of the Pops. As their ministry continued to develop in line with their growing vision to see a new generation reached for God, they changed their name in 1989 to ngm. With Heartbeat finishing in 1991 a new chapter had begun, with God promising even greater blessing as they continued to bring the good news to this needy and hurting generation.
They now have 60 full time people working with them in evangelism, music, mission and training and have seen thousands of people in Britain and abroad come into a vibrant living relationship with the Lord Jesus. Both individually and corporately they live by faith and have seen God provide for their ministry in miraculous ways over and over again. In 2001 they completed a huge walk of faith, having seen God release 3 million pounds to purchase and build an amazing Missions and Arts Centre in Thornbury, Bristol, England where they are based.
They train people from the age of 17 in evangelism, communication and their art form whether it be singing, dancing, djing, playing an instrument or worship leading. They also have summer schools for 13 – 19 year olds. The groundbreaking musical Luv Esther has also come from the innovative and pioneering ministry of ngm. They also have artists like ‘On Off Switch’ who have been called to ‘soothe the soul of a generation.’ If you are interested in hearing how you can affect the youth culture of today, be trained in your art form and how you can partner with ngm then do contact ngm by emailing info@ngm.org.uk.
